Use this screw for securing wood, plywood and fiber cement to steel. The wings will ream a clearance hole and keep the threads from engaging too early. Once the wings hit the metal material, they will break off allowing the threads to engage. #10-24 x 3 1/2" thru 1/4"-20 x 3 3/4".
