18-8 Stainless Steel Hex Cap Screws, UNC (Coarse Thread, 18% Chromium, 8% Nickel) the most common grade of stainless steel fastener. The percentages exist in 303, 304 and 305 series stainless, so 18-8 is used at times to designate any and all of those alloy groups. Outside of the US it is commonly known as "A2". 18-8 offers good corrosion resistance and machines easily.
